THE WINIFRED GANDINE-STANTON TRUST

APPLYINg for the wgst digital outreach programme

The Winifred-Gandine Stanton Trust, with support and additional equipment courtesy of MPB and the Spiritual Truth Foundation, is proud to launch its Digital Outreach Programme – providing access to professional, broadcast-quality filming, photography and editing equipment, expertise, as well as other key digital skills, to individuals, churches and organisations in the Spiritualist community.

The scope of the progrmame is broad – perhaps you would like a promotional video filming and editing for your church, or need some headshots and portfolio content taken as a medium/speaker. Maybe you would like some high quality photographs of your church or group for social media or a website, or even need help setting either of those things up. The programme will be having to discuss and explore options for how it can support you.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAMME WORK?

The Digital Outreach Programme, like all of our applications for funding and support, does not have a set criteria. A variety of applications and needs will be considered, so long as they involve the creation or use of digital and media skills, equipment or production within the scope of the Trust’s objectives. In the application form, we ask applicants to give a rough overview of what they are looking for, and how the programme may be able to help you. If your application is successful, then one of the programme coordinators will be in touch to further discuss what help, equipment and services they can offer.

IS THE PROGRAMME FREE?

In recognition of the WGST’s mission and objectives to support those in the Spiritualist community, the programme will not charge for the use or hire of any its equipment for successful applicants. Given that this is professional, broadcast-quality filming, photography and sound equipment, the cost of hiring such items can easily run into the thousands in normal circumstances. The Trust are excited and proud to provide access to a platform of such equipment free of charge.

Where the programme may incur cost is if applicants require a member of the programme to undertake the physical process of filming/photographing/editing for them. This will usually be a discounted hourly or daily rate. Where applicants do not wish for a member of the programme to undertake the work, they will be expected to demonstrate that they have a suitably experienced or skilled person available to use the equipment in a proper, safe and professional capacity.

For the majority of applications, we envisage there will be a small fee payable to the programme expert undertaking work, but in exchange, applicants will receive their skills, expertise and access to professional media equipment and facilities free of cost.

To submit an application, please complete the form below in full, and be sure to click ‘submit’.

Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS

What evidence/supporting documentation should I include?

This will be dependent on the type of application you are submitting.

If you are applying for funding or on behalf of a church or organisation, the application form will detail what supporting documents you should provide.

All applicants are asked to attach a covering letter with their submission. They can provide further information by emailing clerk@wgstrust.org wherever necessary.

Why can I only attach a single file to the application form?

For the purposes of bandwidth and keeping our site running smoothly, we can currently only accept a single file as an attachment to applications.

If you have multiple documents to submit, please consider submitting them together in a single ‘Zip’ file or, if you are unable to do this, email any additional files and supporting material to clerk@wgstrust.org, citing your full name and application details.

How long will it take for me to hear back after an application is submitted?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee a set timescale for how long it will take for an application to be considered and decided upon. This is because all applications have to be considered and approved by all Trustees, which can be a time-consuming process, particularly when considering multiple applicants at once.

Our Board of Trustees meets bi-annually, which is where many finalised decisions on funding take place, but there are occasions where applications can be considered sooner than this.

Are all applications considered?

Providing they fall within the Trust’s mission and objectives (see below), all applications submitted will be considered.

Please note that due to the high volume of applications received, and limited funds we have available for donations and distribution, we cannot guarantee that any single application will be successful, and we unfortunately cannot approve all applications.

What are the Trust's missions and objectives?

The four Objects of the Winifred Gandine-Stanton Trust, as set out in its Trust Deed, are as follows:

* The promotion of Spiritualism in accordance with the Seven Principles

* The promotion of Psychic Studies and Sciences

* The promotion of Spiritual Healing

* Provide support and benevolence to Spiritualists who may be in need

Whom do I contact regarding my application?

Should you need to amend, update or retract your application, please email clerk@wgstrust.org, providing as much information pertaining to your application as possible.

If my application is successful, how will payment be made?

This will be dependent on the nature and purpose of the application.

For repairs, goods, services and contracted work, the Trust will usually arrange direct payment to the vendor or service provider.

For benevolence and other types of funding, payment may be made direct to the recipient by way of a cheque.

The Trust will confirm how payment will be processed when you are contacted regarding the outcome of your application.

If my application is unsuccessful, can I apply again in future?

Yes, though we kindly ask that if your application is unsuccessful that you do not repeat an application for the same reason/cause/funding.
